A list of social media resources

During the Q&A after my talk at the IABC International Conference in New York this past June, I got two questions that I get all the time:

  • Where do you get your statistics?
  • Where can I go to get up to speed quickly on all this?

I promised the group I’d put together a list of useful social media resources resources, which I’ve done. It’s not a comprehensive list by any means. The blogs listed represent a fraction of those that I follow in my feeds; I also listen to more podcasts than I’ve included on the list. I’m also not suggesting that these resources are better than others. My goal was to list sites, primers, blogs, podcasts and books that can provide short course on social media (as it pertains to PR and communications). I also suspect that newcomers will follow links from these resources and discover new ones that they’ll add to their own lists.

Definitely worth adding to the mix is the terrific list of 20 free social media ebooks Chris Brogan has put together.
