IABC quickly communicates lawsuit settlement
The e-mail was terse and formal. Just one paragraph announcing that IABC, through its insurance carrier, has reached a settlement in the lawsuit former president Elizabeth Allan brought against the association, one of its members and that member’s company. But it was enough. Delivered to all of the 13,000 IABC members worldwide with e-mail addresses, the message signed by Chairman David Kistle, ABC, was a speedy communication.
That compares well to the initial communication about the suit, which some contend was all but invisible. There should be no complaints from any quarter this time around.
In the message, Kistle notes details are still being worked out among the parties’ respective attorneys, so no further comment will be forthcoming until those details have been hammered out.
