Fast start to IABC Chair’s blog

The comment count is up to 13 on David Kistle’s blog. Most (including one from me and one from fellow blogger Neville Hobson) are congratulatory. Debbie Vondran notes, “If a member doesn’t feel connected, it’s not for lack of trying on IABC’s part.” Former Chicago chapter president Sharon Bond talks about diminishing membership. It could be that this blog will open a greater dialogue between members/leaders and IABC’s staff and executive board than we’ve ever seen before.

The blog has also been listed among the CEO blogs at the TheNewPR wiki.

New York Chapter President Bob Noltenmeier says his chapter will encourage its members to start their own blogs in the months ahead. “It seems to be a good way for members to share their experiences and knowledge, especially with those who can?t attend chapter programs for whatever reasons.”

Kistle posted his debut entry on October 7. It’s definitely time for a new post, as well as some responses to the comments readers have contributed. Still, the effort seems off to a good start.
