My “Blogging for Business” co-author, Ted Demoupolus, and I were quoted in an article about the future of business blogging (in light of the Gartner study) in a NewsFactor article.

The gist: While Gartner may be predicting that blogging in general will peak in 2007, business blogging is just getting rolling.

  • 1."Business blogging is just getting rolling." That's so true - and not just big business, but small businesses are realizing the advantages of lower costs, extended reach and additional revenue streams due to their blogging efforts.

We're quite a way from seeing the peak.

  • 2.Shel, I think business blogging is just starting. With only 10% of the fortune 500 with a blog, and the majority of those in the technology industry. There will be more business blogs. I don't know if the total number of blogs is going to level off. I doubt this.
