Does Times Square need protection from viruses?

The multimedia display at the corner of 42nd St. and 8th Avenue in New York has been displaying this Windows error for a couple days. Makes you wonder if Apple paid for it as an ad.

  • 1.For a couple of days you say! This is very sad in many ways, Marketing & Technology. Is no one monitoring the system? Why is the msg not set to time-out automatically, has no one thought of the requirements of this application in this situation and configured it appropriately, obviously not. It shows another way in which businesses are not taking business seriously enough. I hope the safety critical ones are better, but we don't really know, do we, look at the financial businesses recently.

  • 2.It is great free advertising for Apple, and generally it's not a rare sight either. I've seen countless displays like this over the years, including Leicester Square in London doing a similar thing.

Given the money a company has probably paid for that space, I hope they get/got a refund...
