Podcasting the IABC conference
I’m delighted to announce that Neville Hobson and I—cohosts of the For Immediate Release podcast—have agreed to produce a series of podcasts leading up to and running through the IABC 2006 International Conference.
The first podcast, to be produced sometime in mid-to-late March, will feature a panel discussion of conference speakers. After that, the series will involve one-on-one conversations with speakers as well as conference organizers and IABC leaders. Then, at the conference, we’ll continue to conduct interviews (since we’re both speaking, we’ll both be there) on-site.
IABC plans a conference blog to launch in April; it’ll be the primary place to get the podcast files or subscribe to the podcasts via RSS feed. However, you’ll also be able to get them via a For Immediate Release feed dedicated to the conference podcast.
Neville and I are both excited about the prospect. We’re determined to produce brief shows that pack in a lot of substance; we have no interest in simply creating conference ads. I’ll let you know when the first podcast is available.
