Neville and I are writing a book
Finally, the tale can be told.
Neville and I—and our agent, Yvonne DeVita, who has been fabulous—have concluded negotiations and reached an agreement with McGraw-Hill to write “How to Do Everything with Podcasting.” This will be part of McGraw-Hill’s successful “How to Do Everything” series.
There already are several podcasting books out there—and several are excellent. They’re also brief. Ours will be comprehensive; we’re expected to deliver something like 450 pages by June 1. The book will cover strategy and tactics from soup to nuts. We’ll have a strong focus on podcasting’s potential for business, both external and internal. We also believe this will be the first podcasting book written by a pair of podcasting co-hosts.
We plan to use a secure, private wiki to work together, me in California, Neville in Amsterdam, and Yvonne in New York. We also plan to launch a blog dedicated to the theme of the book, although we’re not sure when that will be. Our focus now is on research and hammering out chapters.
The book is due out sometime later this year, if all goes according to plan. Needless to say, we’re both very excited.
