Eleven days and counting
I’ve been among the many to offer congratulations to IABC and Chairman David Kistle for launching a blog. The IABC Chairman’s Blog debuted with its first entry on October 7. I’m disappointed to see that, as of today, the October 7 entry is still the only one. Even Richard Edelman, top dog at Edelman PR, is updating his blog once a week.
Additionally, there are 13 comments in the blog, none of which have received a response, despite the debut entry’s plea to “Give me some feedback ? good and bad ? about how we?re doing and what?s important to you. I look forward to matching wits with more experienced bloggers and giving all of you a chance to tell me what?s on your mind.”
I’d hate to see a great idea fail due to lack of attention. Introducing the blog was forward-thinking, but ignoring it can produce worse consequences than not introducing it at all. If you’re going to blog, then blog. If not, then drop it.
