More and more people who aren’t writers by trade are taking up the keyboard to author blogs. Not surprisingly, a lot of truly awful writing is minimizing the impact of some otherwise thoughtful posts. BL Ochman notes in a post to her own blog that much of what makes writing good—particularly on blogs—doesn’t have to come naturally. It can be learned. BL goes into some detail in her long list of do’s and don’ts. While it’s not the first summary of tips for improving your writing, it’s one of the better ones. She even includes a section on writing comments.
