Deloitte opts not to blog

They raised the issue. They discussed it. They said, “No.”

The issue is corporate blogging; “they” are the Australian operation of Deloitte, the big four accounting firm. According to an article in the Fairfax Digital, Ryf Quail—the company’s director of digital marketing and communications—broached the possibility, leading to an internal debate. Ultimately, the company opted not to blog, citing concerns about the need to remain discrete about the firm’s clients. The partnership structure of the company was another issue, with the chief marketing officer noting, “I don’t want one partner speaking on behalf of a firm I’m part-owner of.”

  • 1.They could blog and not mention their clients.

It seems to me that it is just an excuse.

We won't missed them after all.
They must be way to concerned to keep all their employees mouth shut.
